This wall fountain from northern Italy combines a broad basin with an architecturally articulated back panel. Moulded cornices and leaf ornaments at the pediment corners emphasise its stately character. The hand-worked surfaces and warm, softly mottled colouring of the stone give it a calm, classical appearance.
